Hmm... 2 more weeks to go...

It's really fast... really too fast for me to count and it's just two weeks left til the end of the semester...
Everything is just so fast... New Student Orientation seemed just yesterday, and i'm now just 2 weeks away from the end of my very first semester at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.... GREAT!!!!

so, two weeks left also means that i've 1 more english paper to write, few more quizzes for Calculus, 1 more quiz for Econs, 1 more midterm for Econs and 2 more finals.... (1 for Calculus, and another, Astroomy..) So far, so good...

oh yar... i've another troublesome task to do... register for courses of next semester....

i've been spending hours planning my classes.... "hmm... not too early,it's winter, everybody wanna stay in their bed slightly later, hmm 9am??? 10am????... will it be too cold to wake up that early?? the problem is not about cold or not cold actually, it's about waking up or not waking up at that time of the day....hmmm how many credit hours should i take for this semester??? 12 credit hours???16??? hmm... ok, now, i'm pretty sure i wanna take Linear Algebra, Intro to Probabilities, Macroeconomics.... and 1 more course... i need 12 credit hours at least, to keep my full time student status...arggggh... still got to fulfil the courses distribution requirements... so that students will be well rounded.... yeah right..."

so..... how???? i'm going to meet my academic advisor tmr... or maybe the day after.... definitely will meet her before thursday (becoz that's the day i register for my classes)... hopefully, those classes that i've planned for will not be closed by then... if not, i'll be doomed...... all my time 'dedicated' to my tentative timetable will be wasted.....

ok.... now, back to something more less academic....it's soccer-time... yeeha.... MU won their match, too bad, Chelsea did too.... luckily, and thankfully, Liverpool beat Arsenal... wahahha... that's a great news...Arsenal is now just 4 points ahead of MU.... 5 points behind the leader...wat a great result that can be....

MU,will be back with the front runners soon enuff....

what else... nothing much... hope that all of u had a great Thanksgiving break....

for me, it is just a long weekend... with some great shopping and some eating, some sleeping, and a lot of time-wasting...!!!!!
try to imagine watching 11 episodes of drama series in a day.... yeah... that's about 7 hours....great way to spend a weekend.... hahahaha...luckily i'm not blind.... yet...:P

A Short Week...

it's going to be a really short week... a 3-day week... coz, from Thursday til Sunday, it is gonna be my Thanksgiving Holiday... GREAT... Wat to do for this not-too-short yet not-too-long holiday...

first thing first, keep myself warm... hiding myself under the comforter seems to be not bad an idea...i just can't get enough of my bed... u know, those days where u just too lazy to get out of bed, and even u have an appointment to make, u just throw ur comforter over ur head, and dun give a damn about anything around u... and all u want it just to SLEEP...Ouch, i'm already missing my bed...my body pillow (bolster)... and my bed, again...

This thanksgiving holiday, i will go get some shopping done... u know, the weather is getting colder, and it is going to get so cold that u will be too lazy to travel and to get anything done over the next 3-4 months....so, i better stock up everything i need over the next quarter of the year...better get my shopping list ready this time... dun wanna get lost at the mall over here.... it's so so so huge that it'll take u forever to browse thru every single item on every single shelf at every single shop at every single mall... hahaha....get me now???

great... so, how u guys been doing lately???

Last week wasn't so bad... at least Manchester United won their match, Arsenal and Chelsea drew their match... so, MU is getting back on track... trailing that 2 .... and before long, MU will be kicking their ass.... OK that's British Football (or soccer)...

now, switching to American Football (or football)...although the Michigan Wolverines lost their match against Ohio State... Fortunately, Iowa kicked Wisconsin poor butt, and gave us the ticket to the Rose Bowl... although this is not as sweet as winning the match and earning the Rose Bowl, i will still take the lucky break... but i'm not too optimistic about our chances at the Rose Bowl....

that's most about it, it's almost 3 months since i first stepped into this country... and wow, i'm really liking this place...it's interesting and there's always something new to learn... and... everyting is just interesting... not saying that things are not interesting back home... just that things are much different.. and thus, more interesting... haha :P

Trip to Detroit...

Wonderful trip to Detroit..... actually, wat's so wonderful about the trip... i think it is amazing to see such a huge City to be so lifeless... really...

ok, to post a better picture in ur mind.... imagine a city with skyscrapers... and building blocks.... like Kuala Lumpur... or Chicago, without any people.... that's about it... u get a picture of Detroit now...
the buildings are beautiful and modern from far... but, there are all abandoned.... empty... all u can see is really empty shops.... and even McDonalds and Starbucks are closed on weekends.... can't believe it???? it's true... it's really creepy to walk in the empty city.... like a ghost city... can't help but keep thinking about those cities in the shows like Dawn of the Dead, or Resident Evil...
yeah...that's how Detroit is...

the only street that seems to be living is the greek town... which is like 2 rows of shops... mostly restaurants and Casino...

so, we walked around the town, took the people mover (the elevated train) and wandered around...
and had lunch at the HARD ROCK CAFE, Detroit... cool..... but, ouch... my pocket....

so, after lunch, we walked along the riverside... (the Detroit River, or izzit Michigan River) watever?... there we can see Canada.... across the river... it is Windsor, of Canada... it is really near... the distance between is nearer than the Malaysia-Singapore Crossway... (i suppose)...

the most magnificent building is the General Motor Renaissance Center... whew... it is really beautiful... and modern... and at least... there's some people there....
that's about it.. i think i will post some pictures to the Chicago site.... i'll put a link here sometime....

busy for the week... have a midterm coming... ciao...

take care and keep warm... :P

It's been awhile...

hi there...

it's been awhile since i last BS here....

so, how's everybody with eveything??? Doing great....

nothing much... just that i've planned for the NYC trip at the end of the year... and booked the ticks... accommodations, and stuffs.... really need to plan early becoz of the new year eve rush... there'll be more than a million ppl rushing to timesSquare for the new year countdown... so, better be quick, or be homeless... like us....

we can't find any accommodation for that night.... Dec 31st.... but i dun think that i'll be sleeping that night.... after that countdown... definitely, there'll be shows or something on.... so, who cares about having no place to sleep.... rite???? hopefully...

basically... it's just SSDD.... Same shit different day..... but not really shitty... just kinda routine... and that's all.... nothing to spice up my life.... but, my life is not that bad after all... not lamenting or bitching... just being bored... and got nothing to do... and my fingers can't stay idle for too long....

oh yar... see... when i kept typing..... my inspirational cells come to work too... expected it to snow today.... but too bad.... the wind blew those rain clouds away.. so, eventhough it is cold, but it didn't rain... so the equation adds up to NO SNOW...... nvm... i can wait.... the longer i wait... the more anticipated i become.... so, ..... let me wait...

on top of that... won a bid at ebay today.... hahaha... a lava lamp.... yup....a LAVA lamp... it looks cool from the picture... hopefully it will add some great atmosphere to my dull room..... really dull room...

i think the next i'll get is some fabric... so that i can hang it on the wall.... to decorate the plain, creamy-white-color-wall (reads as dull and boring looking) wall....

so that's all for now..... enuff of torturing u guys.... i think i just shoo some of my regulars off.... hahaha....

bye then...

It's D-day....no, it's not.. it's R-day...

Hello America... today is D-day... It's ur election Day...

izzit going to be a Democratic Evolutionary Victory or Republican's SSDD(Same Shit Different Day) Victory.... Your vote can decide..... So, VOTE or DIE.... wahahah...

by reading the above statement... i think u can surmise which party i supports...

yar... Go Kerry... Go kick some Bush ass......!!!

too bad i'm not eligible to vote... but still, i can show my support... not support for Kerry actually... but just support for NOT BUSH....

anyway, i'm surprised to find that the young voter turnout percentage is so damn low.... come on... as the citizen of the world's most advanced country... highly educated bunch... with great mentality and all.... why can't all of you come out and vote..... although this year's young voter turnout rate has increased by a huge 10%, but it is still only a total of slightly over 50%...
Think about it....

So, i waited eagerly for the result to come in.... launching several major news network webpage.... CNN, CSpan...and also search engine Yahoo, which has a result page dedicated for this event....
again, as expected... all the Red states are getting redder, and the blue states are getting bluer...and the only great thing is those swing states.... which are really really closely battled for... yar... no wonder they are called the 'swing states'...

in the end, Bush won....
wasted my effort of staying up late til 4am.... bloody hell....

luckily Michigan, also one of the swing states, is won by the Democrats....
the only thing to cheer about for the Election 2004...

haih... the end result is so depressing, but i'm "depressed, but not devastated"....

hopefully, US will be more united after this general election, which has really divided the RED and the BLUE... wow... dunno that different views of POLITICAL PARTY can be so so separative....

great to see such an event in the country..... have fun.... looking forward to see how Bush can make a better tomorrow...
