It's Black Friday...
So... I woke up this morning at about 5.30am... the headache was gone... and I'm a happy man again...
I started browsing through the online deals available... bestbuy(R), Staples(R)... and many more... and of course woot.com (R)... but nothing really that good a deal... got some blank dvds and that's about it...
went back to bed...well, as I've not been having a good chance to sleep so much, i'm definitely not going this thanksgivings holiday to go 'unslept'...
next thing i knew, it's about 10.30am... checked the bus schedule online, and it said that the next bus to the Briarwood Mall was at 11.23am... so, I left my room at 11am and started walking towards Central campus... it was snowing lightly... and it's kinda chilly too... It's been -7Celcius(about 20 Fahrenheit) all day long...and a bit windy... could be worse...
I reached the bus stop at 11.20am, and the bus came right on time... got on the bus, and reached the Mall at 11.36am... the mall was quite crowded(as expected, it's Black Friday...why black? that's because it's where the shopkeepers are having surplus... their account books are in black... as oppose as in red(which is in deficit)... so, black is good... The day after Thanksgivings, that's today(Black Friday) marks the start of the Christmas shopping...and it's also one of the nationwide greatest sales... that's why I'm all out for it too... ;P
So, I started with my favorite shop there, Expressmen(R)... they were having sales, which was too bad... sweaters with $10-15 off, and 2 tees for $29.50, and I got another jacket because they were giving out free scarfs and beanie with $75 purchases or more...
then, I headed to JCPenney and got socks... 6 pairs of them..
on the way back, I met Elaine, and Julie... where they were heading to catch movieS....(plural) Since I got nothing much to do...(other than 2 papers to write, and 1 abstract...) I decided to follow their movie marathon too... we first watched Just Like Heaven... featuring Resee Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo... then, Corpse Bride...(knowing that Lili loves Johnny Depp, I gave her a call earlier and asked her to join us for this movie... and after all, it's only $1 for a movie...) really nice for them to have this Dollar Movie Theatre... where all the movies shown are $1 per show...(although those shows are not the newest, but they are good shows...) well, if they are shitty shows, u can choose not to watch it...so, this will be my place to hang out for the winter weekends...(where there's no more college football)...
after the first movie, I grabbed a bite at Sbarro... and then, Elaine and Julie and I went shopping again... well, i was just tagging along... I went to Sears and got 2 towels... somehow, Lili saw us there... and then, we went for the second movie...
after we were done with the 2nd movie, Julie and Elaine were still going strong and going for the third movie...Flight Plan, while I decided to call it quit, and Lili and I left... after she went into Abercrombie and Fitch and got a pair of Jeans...
we got back to Campus at about 6.05pm... went to West Quad and had dinner... shitty dinner.. me ended up eating 2 bowls of cereals and salad...
I got back to my room at about 7pm... started surfing again, and at about 8pm, I went to CCRB(Central Campus Recreational Building) to lift some weights... and then, got back at 9pm... bathed, did laundry, watched an episode of Apprentice, and followed the Pistons match, and then, found that they lost... now, their record is 9-2... and watched another episode of the apprentice... and it's midnight... and I'm writing this now... i'll be continuing with my UROP research paper now...
so, i'm $140 poorer.. but, i'm kinda happy with what I got...
there's another tempting deal in my cart at buy.com(R) currently... but i don't think i'm going for it... I don't think i will pay $90 for a headphone... although it's already $50 dollar off... but still.. it's a $90 headphones... no... i'll throw it out of my cart now... before I do something stupid...
haha...:P
Tadaa... this was my Black Friday...

It's Thanksgivings!!!
Happy Thanksgivings!!!
Woke up this morning at about forgot what time... did nothing for awhile... and by the time I remember it's about time to do something, it's about 12noon... I started preparing to get ready for 'dinner'... Melanie will be picking me up at 1pm... so, it's about time me to take a bath and all...
Thinking that I can take a long shower, happily, I got undressed and all...(hmm, is this getting to visual?) anyway, i think the cheap uni wanted to save on water or what, I think, they switched off the water heater or whatever, making my 'dreamt' long-slow-warm shower turned into at-first-warm-then-getting-colder-and-colder-rushed shower.... brrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
So... Melanie did reached in front of the darm at 1pm... 30 minutes later, we reached her place... a nice place... the house was nice... and there's a lake a 'block' away... she had a huge pet dog...(a St. Bernard), a cat... I met her parents and her brother, Willie(William)... We set up the table at about 2pm... and helped out at the kitchen(helping out with the appetizers at the counter: Crackers with Swiss Cheese Spread, Chips and Salsa, Summer Sausage, Bread with Spinach spread...) and Yellow Tail Chardonnay too...
then, dunno for whatever reason, the bird(turkey) was done an hour ahead of schedule, so we ended up having Thanksgiving Dinner at 2.30pm... The menu:
We watched a movie after that, at first, a western movie... Blazing Saddle...which i don't really understand... then, we changed to Ocean Eleven... after the movie, I packed some food to be brought back to the dorm...
It was really cold today, and there's a layer of ice frozen on the windshield... and the doors were frozen too... so, after having some fun with the ice and all... we managed to get into the car... and Sylvie?(Mel's mum) and Melanie sent me back to the dorm...
I had a wonderful time... and thanks again...!!!
but, somehow, I had a splitting headache, coming out of no where... I popped 2 Tylenol (American version of Panadol), and went to bed at 10 something...
woke up the next morning at 5 something...

It's snowing... and time to enjoy it
So, it's been snowing quite a bit yesterday and i 2 of my 3 classes of the day were cancelled, due to the thanksgivings holiday...
but, i still woke up early for work, and then, got back from work, wasted time doing nothing, updated my blog again, and had lunch, and went to my Differential Equation class to collect my MT2... it's weird that he held on to my paper til the end of the class, because for the entire class, we were going through the paper... so, i was just sitting there without my paper, listening to the discussion... still don't really understand why... the result, not too bad, did a silly mistake... that's about it... happy...
went back to my room after that... Quang had this ingenious idea of going to the Arb (Nichols Arboretum) to walk in the snow... and to admire the beauty of nature... so, without nothing to do for the next 90 minutes, I decided to do this 'random act of stupidity' together... I grabbed my camera and wore gloves because we will be out for quite awhile...
halfway through walking in the 'woods', my batteries of my camera failed on me...(partly because I haven't been charging the batteries for quite sometime, and the cold temperature contributed partly to it too...)
However, i still have several nice photos of the scenic Arb...

However, i still have several nice photos of the scenic Arb...
This is near the entrance of the Nichols Arb
Nice? It's so quiet and so serene...
River... really nice to kayak here during the summer and fall, but too cold for now...
That's Quang, the genius that came up with this idea of walking at the Arb when it was snowing..

That's Quang, the genius that came up with this idea of walking at the Arb when it was snowing..
So, we walked around and snapping pictures(Quang's camera was working all the time)... we followed the path, and halfway through, we kinda wandered off the path and started to walk our way through the woods...(not really dense, but really fun... tripping over some branches, and slipping every now and then...) After more than an hour of walking in the Arb, we got back to our dorm, and got ready to go out for movie...
Putt, Chye, Quang, Lili and I went to Showcase Cinema, which is quite far away, to catch Harry Potter and The Globet of Fire... We reached there at about 6pm to catch the 6pm show... The show was quite good... the CGI was awesome... but some of the characters weren't as good looking as they are supposed to be... the biggest letdown... Cho Chang... however, all this letdown were redeemed by showing Emma Watson in that hot dress, walking down the stairs... oooh... HOT HOT HOT...
got out from the cinema at about 8.45pm... tried calling cab but none responded... so, we decided to walk to Meijer to catch a bus... as we walked out of the cinema, a taxi came and 5 guys jumped out...(we were wondering whether the cab takes 5 ppl...that answered our question, and solved our problem of couldn't get a cab too) we hopped into the taxi and got a ride back to Central Campus... we stopped at South University St. to get dinner... again, we went to No Thai! I had a Chicken Gang Ped...(curry with Bamboo, Mushroom and bell pepper), Medium hot, and not bad... after that, we went back to our respective room... where I watched last week's Alias... and then, I called it a night, sleeping before midnight, which is like for the very first time in many months...
And again, yesterday was 23rd... which marked me away from home for 15 months... 1 year and 3 months... and counting...
Today's is Thanksgivings Day... Happy Thanksgivings!!! I'll be going to Melanie's, my hallmate's home, somewhere nearby (about 30 minutes drive), might be a longer drive because of the snowy and windy weather.... it's -11C outside now... with high of -7, and low of dunno what... and it's windy... nice...
I really enjoyed the walk in the Arb yesterday, i'll most probably go back there tomorrow and have a longer stroll, with my fully charged batteries... no worries about me getting lost because I will not wander off the trail this time and I've my cellphone with me... and there's coverage in the Arb...
til then... u guys enjoy... and have fun...

Too much
In response to part of my fren's post:
hmm... i think i know which religion ur comments are inclining to... but hey... i share the same feelings too...
i believe in karma... so... karma is what i believe... so, I try to do what I think is best...(both for me, myself and I and for others...) so, if the end of the day, I shall go to heaven, or hell (if there are such places), then let it be... if because I'm not believing in it and hence I'm doomed, so be it... At least, I practice what I believe, and I'm true to myself...
There's too much faking, and not much making...
too much preaching and not much practising...
too much talking, and nobody's listening...
too much... too much
(dang, this is good, i didn't know that I'm so poetic...)
for the record, most wars were propelled by religions, and issues related to it...

I'm done with 2nd Midterms...
woohoo... sorry for not updating this blog for the last weekend... but, it was really a crazy weekend for me... really was...
So, I woke up at 9+am the next day(actually the same day), and then, started on some reading again at about 10am... At about 11.45am, we (Quang, Putt and I) set off for lunch and THE GAME... We wore blue, because we were planning a BLUE-OUT at THE GAME... THE GAME (u should've noticed the capitals by now) is one of the most, if not the most, talked about college football rivalry ever... it's the football game between OSU and Michigan... The Fuckeyes, oops, I meant Buckeyes vs the Wolverines... So, I brought my camera along, since it is THE GAME... alright.. enough of mentioning THE GAME... reached there 15 minutes before kicked off... and the BIG HOUSE (nickname of the Michigan Stadium) was packed... on our way in, we were handed yellow towel, so that we will twirl(well, swing) it when we cheer and/or making noise... and it looked great on TV, since we(most of us) were wearing blue, and the yellow towel really stood out... before the start of the game, I chugged down 20Oz of water(approximately 600ml) because I needed the bottle to make my noisemaker...(I threw several nickels into it... and Voila...it's a really handy noisemaker... to cause the audible during opponents' play)...
I figured out that I need a paragraph here, just to keep these long piece of trashtalk interesting(that's why newspapers and articles normally have such short paragraphs...just to keep u guys with ADD to focus)... So, the game started bad... with the defense leaking like a broken levee... first downs and with much ease, Ohio State scored a touchdown... but somehow, I think the fans did their part in the cheering and all, and they missed their extra point(kick)...
0-6... and then, they scored another field goal... 0 - 9... they made several mistakes, and we played kinda alright... and the score was 21-12... (with us leading...) but, with 7+ minutes left, and we couldn't put the game away because our quarterback wasn't that good...well, that's an overstatement... and then, the downfall came... it should be surprising, but I wasn't surprized at all... I'm just disgusted... the defense just didn't came through... they allowed 2 touchdowns... and that's it... the end... the last drive really made me sick... to my stomach...
The stadium was packed with more than 111000 ppl... and I could have sold my ticket at a price easily... but I believe - that I would be better off attending the game; that I would be better off watching the game instead of studying; that I would be better off watching how we lose such a game when we could put it into our pocket easily...
As a result, we lost the title race, and dropped to a 4-way-tie... can't believe that Michigan Wolverines lost 4 games this season... can someone tell me when was the last time we dropped 4 games in a season...crap... we are the Michigan Wolverines football program, not any other football program... we are one of the best football program in history... this is totally unacceptable... I think our season ended up with 4 loses because,
1) we aren't playing aggressive enough...
2) our quarterback passing was inaccurate and he was just a 'robot'...not creative, and just not creating play...
3) our defense sucks, more like leaks...
4) and we tried to defense when we were leading... come on... offense is the best defense...
5) over confident...
Something to be happy about, was that Manchester United won their match that day... had pizza for dinner, did more reading, and then, went to Markley with Michael(my neighbor right across my room) for supper...had chicken strips and mozarella cheesesticks...
then, got back at about 10.00pm... called home... and chatted with Mom... and thennn, checked the score of nba... Pistons dropped their first match of the season... to Mavericks... by a whopping 37 points... ewwwk... after going 8 - 0(winning 8 opening matches), they dropped their first lost with such magnitude...
after a few more chapters of Econs and those relevant Review Questions... I started on my Stats homework... and that's about 11pm... the next thing I know, I'm done with my homework at about 3.45 am... and maybe because of the sugar I had, and also the caffeine...(those suppers, with 600ml of Mountain Dew... in case u don't know, Mountain Dew is the soda that contains the highest amount of caffeine... and I had a Frappuccino too... so... that's maybe kept me up til about 4.30am... (shhhh... don't tell my mom about it, she will freaked out)...
so... woke up the next morning at 8.30am... DAMN... i wanted to sleep but couldn't... just couldn't... the sun was so bright...and it was shining directly into my room... went back to bed, but just tossed in the bed for another 30 minutes... frustrated, I went to take a bath... and then, came back and started doing past year Econs paper.... and then, after completed one, I went to Northwood, Adham's place, to help out with cooking, (for the Deeparaya dinner) at 6.30pm... we were cooking Rendang Ayam and Rendang Daging, for about 80 people... so, that's a huge task... I started with blending the onions... wow... I 'loved' it as I can cry manly... it's funny that the whole house of us, all guys (Putt, Adham, Mukhriz and I) at that time were shedding tears... we peeled garlic and ginger too...
then, Safiyyah came... and both of us picked the Chilli Pedas (hot chilies...something like Cili Padi but slightly bigger and less intense...)... peeled some potatoes... cut them into bite size too
and then, Li Li came... and we started washing those cut chicken... quite a lot of them, we removed those fats and skins, and well, that's about it... had McD for lunch... (which is like my first McD in 5-6 months time)... then, I'm actually done with the cooking... all they needed was to really cook it (dried it up so that it was actually rendang)... and that's the stoves' job... none of ours... as I'm too lazy to take a 10 minutes bus ride back to my room, and then back up to North campus later in the evening for the Deeparaya dinner event, I stayed at Adham's place and did 2 more past year papers... and when I'm done, it's almost time...
Li Li and I walked to Thieme house lounge for the event, and there, after delayed of 45 minutes, the actual event started... and after some short speeches, the feasting started... We(several committee members) served the lines so that people got access to the food sooner and at an reasonable amount such that everybody got a fair shot to all the food....
The food wasn't too bad...
Freshmen prepared kuah kacang (peanut gravy... which is slightly spicy, the way I like it) and nasi himpit (pressed rice...kinda weird as the rice was... let me put it this way, weird... as it was sticky, but kinda not well-pressed... and not cut... which made my task of serving much tougher...)
Sophomores (that's my batch) prepared nasi minyak (oiled rice) and chicken and beef rendang(not spicy enough, for me).... which were the bomb... the main dish of the event...
Juniors prepared satay... chicken satay... 1 thousand of sticks of them... which was great...
Seniors cheated... they supposedly prepared, but instead, bought desserts...(Mrs. Fields cookies, Dunkin Donuts ice cream cakes...) and made some jello with some stuffs in it...
after the feast, there were some entertainments... people making a fool of themselves while others enjoying the shows...
Got back to my room at about 9.40pm... and did more readings and preparation on the exam... I too decided to skip my differential equation lecture the next day because I think I will have better use of the hour preparing and cramming more info into my poor little brain... slept at about 2am...
woke up at about 6.30am... well, to work... I went to the Cultural Anthropology lecture though, where we watch a documentary - Barbie Nation... which features how Barbie(R) dolls kinda symbolizes SEX/Gender in the US... and the world... some of the things shown in the documentary were kinda disturbing... sickening... but well, it's hard to say what's sickening and what's not in our ever-changing world... who knows what's sickening or disturbing before are OK in our society now... So, had lunch, and prepared for the Econs midterm later (by reviewing the past year papers again) and then, some of the keywords and other stuffs... those acronyms... like ERM - Exchange rate mechanism, ECU - European Currency Unit, EMU - Economic and Monetary Union, EMS - European Monetary System, DFI - Direct Foreign Investment, TNC - Transnational Corporation, MNE - Multinational Enterprise... and what's dollarization, what's odios debt, what's spot market, what's.... well, u get the idea...
Met with Shi Ting to check the Stats hw, and handed in at 3.30pm... went to the library and used my last 25 minutes prior to the midterm to clear my mind over some concepts... just to make sure that I didn't screw up my basics... so, the midterm was not too bad... I think I did better than the first midterm... mainly because I was better prepared for this one... and I'm one caffeine too...thanks Mountain Dew(R)... speaking of which, I think I need to stockpile some... either that or Classic Coca-cola (R)...
got back from the midterm, went dinner,(skipped the presentation of a company which I RSVPed for...) well, I had a quiz and another midterm the next day...(today)... so, I should be forgiven if this decision happens to come and bite me later in time... so, I studied a bit of Anthropology... was too tired to function anymore... had an hour of power nap... woke up at about 9.15pm... and continued with my anthro reading til about 11pm... had a shower, and then, started preparing for my Stats midterm... did it til about 12.30am... where I received an email from my Anthro GSI, telling which chapter the quiz will be on... looked through the summaries of those chapters... and hope that those will help me answering those quiz questions tomorrow... did Stats til about 2am... went to bed...
woke up this morning at 7am... so freaking tired as I've been sleeping 5 hours day for the past 3 days... and I've been reading a lot... the quiz wasn't too bad... the Midterm too...
done with midterm at 2.30pm... wanted to collect my Differential Equation midterm but the professor wasn't around... went to have a cup of coffee with Shi Ting... and chatted til about 5pm(thanks for ur company...)... had to attend a meeting....Putt came at about 4.50pm, and we went to the meeting together... SEA Network meeting... til about 7pm... Jane (co-chair of Thai Student Assoc.) gave us a ride to our hostel... we had dinner at Markley... and then, I got back to my room at about 7.45pm... saw a message on my doorboard, where my hallmate Melanie left me a msg, saying that she went home for the weekend, and told me to call her and let her know about whether I'm accepting her invitation to her home for Thanksgiving dinner...(well, she invited long ago, but, I just don't know why, I couldn't gave her an answer...) I called her and told her that I would be glad to had Thanksgiving dinner with her family... headed out at 8.45pm again for Alternative Spring Break(ASB) group meeting, where we had some ice-breaking... and then, talked about fundraising... got to know a great deal of people with common interest...
so... got back at about 10pm... and started writing this blog at about 10.39pm... and halfway through... not really halfway... after figuring out the title... i called home....dad... and chatted about 30minutes... and then continued with this post... and it's about 1am now... wow... this is a long one... have fun reading....
I'm so happy that my midterms(2nd set of them) are finally over... They are history now... So, I'll recount my weekend, starting from Friday, where I had a midterm (Differential Equation) in the afternoon... then, worked at night, and then study a bit at night, and thennnn, went to my hallmate's place to hung out... I caught the last 15 minutes of a movie, a funny movie "Clerk", and thennnnn, watched a bit of football, and thennnnnnnn, my hallmate, Doug, playing Fable on some console, not sure which one since he got every single one of them... til about 2.30am... went back to my room to read some Econ notes, lecture slides and all, til about 3.30am where I couldn't kept my eyelids up... I succumbed to my sleepiness and went to bed, kept telling myself that I will wake up slightly earlier tomorrow to read a few more pages, before heading to THE GAME!!!
People heading for the game...So, I woke up at 9+am the next day(actually the same day), and then, started on some reading again at about 10am...

First Bit of Snow... and i've been thinking
well well... alas, it's snowing in Ann Arbor... although it's just a few pathetic snow fall... but a snow is a snow... so, well, snow came slightly more than a week earlier than last year...
a lot of things have been going on and I've been thinking a lot lately... a lot about what I'm getting out of this education... a lot of people have been telling me how prestigious University of Michigan is... and again and again, I've hearing this from speakers drilling this fact - Former VP Al Gore, Bill Gates, and many more...
So, here I am, almost done with my first semester as a Sophomore, planning what courses to take next semester, and preparing for 3 midterms ahead (Differential Equation on Friday, International Economics on Monday and Stats on Tuesday) and Cultural Anthropology quiz on Tuesday... and another paper due soon, and an abstract soon enough and a 10-page Anthro paper not so soon after...and then, 1 more midterm and 3 more finals(all in a span of a month after my Stats MT next Tues)... and that's it... my 3rd semester in Umich, done...
Recently, I've been attending presentations of companies and all too... updating my resume and looking for an intern position over the summer... any takers? I'm not too bad a candidate... really...
so, all these running around, cracking my brain studying are really taxing me... i'm young and all, but still, i'm human too... sometime late at night, when it's quiet and dark, and lonely and cold, I can't help but wonder where's all these getting me to??? why all these works??? sometimes, after a long day, out from 7am, and back at 8.30pm, I really don't know what I've learnt after a long day of hauling ass from one lecture to another class, to another talk, then, to a presentation, then to a meeting... how's all these going to help me in my future? and is this all about preparing me for my future?
I've been a really positive thinker all these while... and I was told that it might come back and bite me... is this what it's like to be bitten by it? Am I just tired? (Hopefully my trip to Orlando and Miami Florida will kinda recharge and rejuvenate me somehow)... Am I just being silly for being so positive in stuffs and being 'exploited' somehow? Why am I feeling empty inside me? Am I just lonely? (and I should get a girlfriend... i can't believe I said this... but I'm not gonna delete this)... Is it the pressure from myself on my to perform well? What is it? Am I losing it?
So many questions... Is this what they called SAD... Seasonal Affective Disorder?? really???
I'll see how things go and hopefully, some of these questions will be answered... If not, I'll just go to the Counseling & Psychological Services and get some professional help...
I'm still going to be positive... Everything is gonna be alright...

Nothing is impossible...
Hey guys... this first few paragraphs will be about football(American Football), scroll down several paragraphs if American Football, especially college Football is not your thing.
So, starting of the season, 4 weeks into it to be exact, after a shaky start from the Michigan Wolverines, everybody thinks that this season is going down the drain, the program is not as good as everybody perceives, and I'm actually furious and disappointed at how good we are on paper, but yet, we didn't execute well and lost several games that we should have won... At that time, everybody thinks that the Big Ten Conference for Michigan is OVER... Michigan will end up in some lousy bowl... my fren even joked about it being in a TOILET bowl...
BUT... NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. Michigan Wolverines, under the leadership of at-that-moment-in-the-hot-seat and under-fire-from-all-directions Coach Lloyd Carr, clawed our way back, with that amazing win over Penn State and whatnot, and yesterday, slaugtered Indiana with a commanding 41-14... and Wisconsin choked(again...:) )... and now, Big Ten Conference is not so far from our reach...although Penn State is the favorite... To win the Big Ten Conference, all we need is Wolverines to win the upcoming game against Ohio Sucks University... oops, I mean Ohio State University, and Penn State to lose their game against Michigan State... for once I'm rooting for Michigan State... Just that simple...
I'll be really devastated if we lost this upcoming game because I'm not only refraining myself from earning my next season ticket of $150+(by selling this tix), I'm also spending an entire afternoon watching football when I have more important thing (although it's not better) to do, namely STUDYING for midtermS (PLURAL) on the following Monday and Tuesday... [actually, i won't be studying if i'm not at the game because I'll be watching it live on TV), but still, having another reason to blame is always better.
OK... I think that's all my football talk... oh yar... corrections: I think my previous post said that we will be playing Iowa yesterday... it should be Indiana...
So, last week has been a-lot-of-reading week... basically, i've to catch up with my anthro reading on 2 ethnologies - Guest of the Sheikh by Elizabeth W. Fernea and In Search of Respect - Selling crack in El Barrio by Phillippe Bourgois. And, finally, someone put a hold on my loan book... Confessions of an Economic Hit Men by John Perkins, so I have to return it a few days earlier, and hence, forcing me to read it and return in sooner... PLUS, I've been starting re-reading those Economics reading as preparation for my upcoming Econs midterm... and READING is tiring.. I wonder how those History OR Political Science OR English major did it... but I'm really finding reading hundreds of pages each week too much...
So, back to my weekly day-by-day summary of the past week...
Monday - as usual... except I started the printing process(i didn't print it, but the printing center did, expect the membership card of Malaysian Students Association to be done in 3-5 business days) It's really a big relief on my part, after designing the card, negotiating with small businesses around campus (mainly restaurants and cafes) for discounts and all... and thanks to the wonderful idea of SEA Network of combining the deals and distributing of work...
Tuesday - the usual too... except, there's a meeting with my UROP peer advisor... and that's about it... didn't go running
Wednesday - Busiest day of the week again, except this week was much lighter due to a cancellation of the Economics lecture because the guest lecture was flying because of a mix-up of date... and there's no UROP seminar today... and hence, I'm back in my room at 4.30pm... Started planning for my classes next semester... well, not really much to plan for if I'm hardworking... but because I'm not so sure whether I'll be still that energetic when next year come... I'm still contemplating on whether to take up 13 creds of 16 or 17 credit hours...
Thursday - the only class of the day went fairly well... Picked up those membership cards and started distributing it...there's a presentation by PriceWaterhouseCooper at Pizza House that evening... talked with some of the representatives, met so many classmates there... LOL... had some good food too... At night, instead of started studying and all, I wasted a good 5+ hours playing game at my fren's place... well, again, playing PS2 shooting game on a 62 inch TV is too tempting, and also Civilization 4... (a bunch of us, 6 and sometimes 7) playing a turn-based strategy game... naming Cities after ourselves and other hallmates... killing the AI... :P.. on yar.. some pretty controversial event happened today (although it shouldn't be because of some emails and some misinterpretation and misunderstanding)... Former Deputy Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim gave a lecture here @ University of Michigan today...
Friday - so i went to bed at 3+ yesterday... it's amazing how I'm able to wake up this morning at 6.30am... well, u have to do the things u have to do... so, the usual Friday too...(damn, i need to stop using the word 'usual'... life is more unpredictable that 'the usual', or is it???) so... work, class, lunch, class, dinner-work, TV... and that's it... really too nothing extraordinary except that NBA is starting too creeping into my focus too... watching half the game at my neighbor, Mike's place... he's a big Detroit Pistons guy... so am I...(don't call me a fair-weather fan because I'm not so big a NBA person... and I'm still with their losing last playoff...) They are still having a perfect run of 6-0... Go Pistons...
Saturday - well, football game at Noon, went with Quang... Putt wanted to study... and wasted the tix... the game was really good one... with the players starting to play with their full capability and up to par, and a few of them over the bar form... we squatted Indiana by half time, and having second stringers after the half... and the crowd enjoyed themselves by making Mexican waves and all... amazing game-day experience... for dinner, we did No Thai!... wonderful Thai food... well... with the membership card, we entitled a free fountain drink... I had Chicken Pad Thai @ Medium (hot-intensity)... then, we took off to Stucchi's for Ice cream... had a two scoops on waffle cone... one scoop Russian something and another scoop of banana peanut butter something... can't remember those long names... (received a good 15% because of the membership card...)... Did laundry at 12.40am, and completed it about 2+ am... slept at 3 something because I was ironing (reads experimenting my iron with) my clothes...
Sunday - Woke up mentally at about 8.30am, figured that I would be better off if I wake up at 10.30am, so, I remain physically sleeping til 10.30am... went for a jog at the Arb... and then, came back, went lunch, study for awhile, and then slept for 2 hours because just feel like it... and then, Putt woke me up to go dinner... and then i'm here keeping u guys updated about me...
-the end-...

Red Devils are back...at least I hope they are...
Hi peeps, long time no see...
Last week was awesome... because I couldn't recall any not-so-good moments now, so, it should be good...
let me see, Monday... can't really remember what happened... Just like every other Monday... where it's the hardest day to wake up... especially at pretty early hours for me... oh yar, went to Alternative Spring Break (ASB) interview at night... pretty casual one...
Tuesday... SSDD
Wednesday... as usual, busiest day of the week... and because of the Stat's homework due on Thursday, it will be the usual sitting at the desk and staring at the question... well, staring method does help... if u can't solve a question in a snap, stare at the question and u will see 'light'...
Thursday... finishing up my hw... got back my midterm... pretty happy with it.
Friday... TGIF... another week... whew... time really flies... nothing much in particular... met with my UROP sponsor, had quite a long chat about what I did over the weeks, and what we will be doing in the future... at night, hung out with my hallmate's room, til late, 2am... played Smash on Gamecube(R)... Civilization 4 on PC... waited for 'woot' deal... (it's like a daily 'ritual' for me to stay til 1am because of the amazing deal they have)
Saturday... woke up at about 9am... relatively early since i slept at 3 something yesterday... called home... chatted for about 30 mins... then, brushed up and started a long walk to Intramural Sports Building (IMSB)... on South Campus, a good 20-25 minutes walk... for the annual SEA Games, co-organized by the SEA Network (concists of students associations of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand)... supposed to participate in the Volleyball, but too bad, Malaysia don't have a team because no girls want to play...(pathetic...), yeah, because we are the only country without a team... so, played a bit of basketball... went back at about 3.45pm... stopped by Big Ten Burritos (BTB) on the way back to grab a grub... it's been awhile since i last frequented BTB... the usual, Chicken Quesadillas, Chips and Salsa... ordered Saigon Garden for dinner... amazing... watched college football... we had a bye-week... next week, Michigan will be playing Iowa at home... whoo-hoo... i missed home game...
oh yar, i got my first choice for the ASB... so, i'll be heading to Elm Mott, Texas next year, end of Feb til 1st week of March (during Spring break)... World Hunger relief farm... nice... looking forward to the road trip...(a 20+ hours drive - one way...)
Sunday... did some reading and some math... MU beat Chelsea 1- 0... ended Chelsea's 40 games unbeaten run... the title chase is on again...surprisingly, Wigan, which got promoted to Premier League this season is looking great at 2nd place... Hopefully, this MU win will keep them going... after a horrible week of losing to Middles 4-1 and Lille 1-0... at night... watched Family Guy... new season premiere... really funny... as always... slept early becoz of 'some' reasons...
that's about it...
here's a pretty good joke to share:
