what i observe in the US education system(at least in University/ College/ School, they use all these to depict university too) is that the freedom they have... in the university, u can see all the clubs writing on the wall and on the floor with chalk for their announcements, they spam ur email with all the info but upcoming events, they hand out flyers like nobody business... and they got lots of cash to spend... i wonder how they can afford to do so...
another significant thing that one from british edu background will note is their participation in class... the questions(related and unrelated), the answers, the connections and communications between lecturers and students. these are awesome.... and lecturers do reply to email at pretty unbelievable speed...
another thing is how computer savvy these ppl are... they prefer to send email then picking up the phone and call... and u can have up to 50 emails a day(not spam, those important stuff), or the web assignments, web quizzes, web homework, web announcement... basically, u have to check ur email at least every 2 hrs.... if not every... (i'm checking my email every hr if when i'm free... my laptop was turned on for the past 2 weeks.... but i'm afraid that it will burn, so, better switch it off when i'm not using it...
when to shop (really shop, i think that's the first time of my life spending money without a doubt....) at the factory outlet shops, more like a mall....)
u can find factory outlet stores of Levi's, Dockers, Liz Clairborne, Nautica, Reebok, Nike, Adidas, the northface, jansport, Gap, Guess, and..... lots more.... everything at one place(not one roof though)....
got a pair of sneakers, 1 wind breaker, 3 long sleeves shirts, 2 shorts, 2 Jeans, 1 cargo, (10 items only, i can go to the express lane of a hypermarket if i want to) that's it... see i didn't shop that much after all, just cost me USD 155 ... (6% tax included), will try to get the photos of the stuff i bought posted here... hehehehe...
that's all for now, got to go for the astronomy class now... see ya guys...
