Really Great Outing

wat a wonderful way to spend a lazy Sunday - Kayaking and BBQ.... Really American way of life...
wat the hell, i'm in America, of coz that's the way things go rite.... When u are in Rome, u act like the Roman rite... (forgot the exact word for the quote...my bad)

so, what's so great..... Oh my, Kayaking is so damn fun... Left...Right...Left...Right....Left.... ok, so, i was on a double kayak with Shi Ting.... She's the front one, taking care of the steering (but... hmmm..better not to talk anything about it), while i'm the rear one, taking care of the steering and the braking...

so, the water is cool, the scenery is B.E.A.U.Tiful....and the weather is perfect.... sunny yet windy... u can feel a tingle of Autumn in the air... wow... the river is clear, but not crystal clear.... but it is impossibly shallow.... u can even walk all the way(believe me)... certain part of the route is so shallow that the kayak was caught in between of rocks... and we had to get down from the kayak and pull it out of the rock....

after about 2 hours of kayaking... we reached the our next destination.... the Fuller park... it is a wonderful park... big.... spacious... big trees, nice river and pond.... with ducks, geese, and swans....
many ppl with their family and pets walking around, and eating, BBQing, playing soccer, frisbee, football....

so, we (about 80 of us.... yup EIGHTY. 8-0) had chicken BBQ, beef steak, fried rice noodles, salad, bread toast.... and stuff.... ice cream, and cheese cake.. (awesome, i wonder who baked it)...so, after stuffing our faces, we played some games too... frisbee and football... hmm.. i'm planning to get a pair of inline skates.... it is so fun roller blading...(at least those ppl seem to be having fun)... i know how to skate... so, shouldn't be a problem....

at the end of the day.... they are a lot of leftovers.... so we do what we did best.... Da Bao... (Take Away in English, bungkus in Malay Language)... that's when i came up with a catchy slogan for Malaysian....

MALAYSIAN, TRULY ASIAN...
so, it goes just like the commercial, featuring Datuk Michelle Yeoh...(that bond girl?? u know)... then, they play that song... kinda sick of the tune already... and first, they will portray about people of different races, living in harmony... and then.... ZZZOOOOOMMMM....switch to another slide, where it shows people fighting for food in one of the kenduri or open house during Hari Raya... or people lining up for a night to redeem 2 miserable movie tickets.... then, Michelle Yeoh reappears and say, this is my home, Malaysia, this is where i learn all my fancy martial arts.... in order to feed my stomach... wahaha...:-P, and then..... to be continued...

back to the BBQ, where there were lots of food left... when some one suggested that we should take back some food, so that it won't be wasted and instead of someone packed everything into the fridge.... everybody take something home so that it won't be stored in the fridge for too long... and it is fair for everybody to have some food... wat a great idea.... and within a split second.... everything is gone... MALAYSIAN, TRULY ASIAN.... and there goes the chocolate, they goes the cheesecake... and the chicken, and the beef, and the Chilli Sauce... yep.... and even the paper napkins.... wahhahaa.... YAP... some people are really that desperate(with a wat is free, is good mentality, it's free u know...there's nothing that nobody won't take).... wat can we do... we are Malaysian.... truely Asian....

So, the next time u want to invite a Malaysian over to your place.... never offer them to take what they want....:P But, in general, we are still slightly better than our lovely neighbor..... (hahaha.... )
