What a wonderful world...
Traveling has definitely opened up my eyes, my horizon, my world. While I'm here waiting spending time using the internet even though i'm abroad might seems 'wasteful' to some, but, i need to take a break from my break too.
So far, my trip to Europe has been amazing. And that's an understatement. Meeting up with my friends is amazing, walking around without a map and getting lost is even better. Then, running in the rain in the middle of the night in London, seeing things such as a drunk walking into a fastfood restaurant before 8pm, and caused some trouble, and got tackled by a security guard is mind boggling, another drunk got thrown out of a bar (literally, thrown out as in lifted by the bouncer and dropped outside the bar) is mind dazzling, meeting people(from Michigan (yar, it's a small world), California, France, Italy, Australia) at the hostel and get acquainted is also beyond words.
I've been having a hard time sleeping lately. I will go to bed at about 1am, but just to wake up at 3ish, and then taking me quite some time to fall asleep again. Insomnia? maybe. But, well, I'll see how does my sleeping go when I'm back in the States. If problem persists, and it does affect me, I'll have to go seek some help. But, I'm functioning well in the day though. I mean, I'm not feeling tired in the day.
Pictures... will be posted as soon as I get back and find time. But, will definitely be up ASAP. 'As soon as possible' here is rather subjective because I've a 25 page first draft due on the 14th, and a 60-minute long presentation on the 7th. So, I'll only have time to deal with the photos and write up on them after I'm tired of doing the former two items. Also, it's not easy to take a picture of yourself, and still get the perfect background, as 1) it takes multiple shots to get the angle right 2) most of the time, the head is too big, and blocks out 1/3 of the screen, or 3) part of the face need to be sacrificed to accomodate the scenery. But, sometimes, I do asked others to take a pic for me(just need to make sure that you can outrun them(joking... not in this part of the world, and u must know which kind of people is safe to hand ur camera to... common sense needed), or use a really old/crappy digital camera... like mine, 5-yr old 3.2 megapixels)
But really, England and Ireland is a beautiful place. All the architectures from the earlier 15
-18 centuries. Crappy weather though, the only day with good weather was the day I left from London, England to Dublin, Ireland. It was actually sunny for the entire day, but it rained late at night(when I was at the bar with people I met at the hostel).
So, there's only 3 more days of my vacation left. Kinda sad. From this break, I'm actually thinking of going on a 1-month long Europe trip after my graduation next year. That time, will be like France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Ireland, Switzerland... who knows where I'll go. And, it's just gonna be backpacking. Really, meeting people in hostel is really fun. Because, to start with, to meet in a hostel, you already have some common interests as they are. So, topics like where are you from, where have you been, where will you be going, what's fun here, learning their language (normally, f*ck you, I love you, You're beautiful are the first few phrases I try to learn) but trying to learn those phrases after a few pints of Guinness(R) is really not easy.
So, for next semester, I think I've kinda figured out what classes I'll take next semester, or at least, I think I'll take French, and that fills up a spot, and then Stats, (will go for a Stats minor), then, i'm still not really feeling myself doing a semester of Econ 495. But, will, I've yet to start writing on my first draft, so maybe I'll find love writing it. I might also take another probability class, I thought i saw one the other day. Not sure if that's under math or stats, but, I do like probability stuffs.
Well, that's about it. Thanks for your time, check back 'soon', for day-by-day posts of my trip to Europe. Oh yar, will be taking a train from Manchester to Southampton at 5am tomorrow, and will be meeting Tremayne at the Southampton Central Station, from there, will visit the Stonehenge directly, with me carrying my growing backpack (from 9.2kg, to 11.5kg now), still growing with all the gifts and favors. And then, will head back to the States on Sunday. That's all for now. Bye and take care. Enjoy the rest of your break for those having Spring break. For others, look forward to your Spring break or Easter break. And, damn, St. Patrick's day is just around the corner. And before that, I'm turning 22.
